Pedestrian Bridge

Located along the Florida route of I-95 and crosses over a small part of the St. John's River in Jacksonville. On average, 64% of a typical day in Jacksonville is sunshine. When those driving on I-95 need a rest, they can stop here and enjoy the sunshine on the pedestrian bridge. Part of the river has a small dam to collect energy from the river. This can be converted into electricity allowing the rest area to be self-powered. Along the pedestrian bridge there are solar panels to collect the solar energy.

Powerplant

Located on the New York section of I-95 along the Hudson river. The Hudson has a strong current and a lot of energy can be collected from it. Below a bridge connected to I-95, there are water turbines accumulating energy from the water. In order to convert that energy into electricity, there must be some sort of powerplant nearby. This powerplant combines the industrial nature through the use of the concrete skin with the warmth of wood along the interior.

Battery Changing Station

Located along the Woodrow Wilson Bridge that spans from Maryland to Virginia. In the future, cars will run on batteries so there will need to be battery changing stations along the highway. Here, cars will be able to drive through the building and have their batteries changed. There is also a convenience store and restrooms for travelers. Across the many angled roof are solar panels to absorb the solar rays.
